RIGC FAQs

What is beard oil?

Beard oil is commonly a blend of natural and organic oils extracted from plants and essential oils that help nourish your beard, maintain its beauty to its full capacity, and keep your beard smelling fresh and clean for hours.

How long does the scent last?

Everyone's skin is different therefore, some scents may last longer than others.  Beard oil is not meant to act as a cologne and last all day but it very well can!  You will find that because our oils are 100% natural with no synthetics, preservatives, or chemicals your skin will thank you!  You can have all the benefits of our beard oils while still being able to use your favorite cologne.

What is your impact on nature?

We created RIGC for those who take care of themselves inside and out.  We designed a product that is less harmful to the earth and crafted in the most natural way possible, using all-natural ingredients with minimal packaging.

Is there really such a thing as beard care?

Of course there is!  Most men do not grow their facial hair out because it becomes "annoying to maintain".  RIGC is here for you and we are eliminating the annoyance with care.  Our oils are made to properly nourish a healthy beard and skin profile.  Our mission is to stop your beard from itching completely and ensure your confidence level is 110%.

How do I apply it?

Once you've hopped out of the shower, you should dry your beard lightly (not aggressively). We don't want any damage or irritation to the skin.  When applying your oil, you'll first want to exfoliate it into the skin and then work to the ends of your beard.  Be sure that the oil touches every bit of your skin beneath your beard to ensure hydration.  If the skin underneath is malnourished, you may experience dry, itchy skin known as  “beardruff”.

How much am I supposed to use?

Because your skin is sacred, we recommend a dime size amount of oil in the palm of your hand.  If it's not enough, add a few more drops.  It all comes down to the length and thickness of your beard.  You will feel a nice coat on your mane, but once your hair dries, it will be silky smooth and healthier than ever.

What are the carrier oils you use in each oil?

All of our carrier oils are 100% natural, sourced right in the US.

Sweet Almond oil

Naturally made with vitamin E. This oil is used for skin softening, reducing itch, and keeping it healthy.  Applying this oil regularly can also protect your skin of oxidative stress and UV radiation damage.

Jojoba oil

Known to be closest to our skin oil sebum. Jojoba oil is the best for keeping a healthy complexion while moisturizing and restoring dry skin.

Argan oil

Rich in antioxidants, omega-6 fatty acids and contains twice as much vitamin E than olive oil.  It's also known to improve texture to acne-prone skin and help maintain a youthful glowing appearance.

Coconut Oil

Excellent for skin moisturizing and softening.  It's naturally antibacterial and antifungal.  Coconut oil for skin is an excellent moisturizer, and it can penetrate hair better than other oils.

What are the base ingredients you use for your beard wash?

Pure natural tocopherols T-50 Vitamin E

Designed to penetrate deeper into the skin because of its oil formulation, these body products infuse a powerful dose of vitamin E into the cells and promote instant nourishment and repair. Enveloping the skin in rich moisture, these therapeutic body oils also help show improvement in its overall tone and texture, especially when combined with conditioning humectants such as jojoba oil, coconut oil and more. Due to their high levels of antioxidants, the best vitamin E oils for skin also boast effective anti aging skin benefits. In addition to providing a solution to dryness, vitamin E has been found to neutralize the damaging effects of free radicals, which have been linked to premature skin aging. It also possesses the ability to stimulate cell renewal, making it excellent for reducing the appearance of everything from fine lines and wrinkles to dark spots and stretch marks.

100% Pure unrefined cold Pressed Abyssinian Seed Oil

Abyssinian oil improves hair's manageability, shine, and moisture, and, as a bonus, acts as a shield against irritants. Along with its antifungal properties, since the oil is easily absorbed by the hair, it boosts shine and condition and promotes glossiness. It can also be used to help detangle the hair.

Silk Peptide Powder

Silk Peptide has better water solubility. Being a more refined product, its particle size allows it to penetrate the skin and hair thereby giving it a more value-added aspect to go along with appearance enhancements. The shine, elasticity, and smooth feel it provides to hair become apparent after it dries and turns into a protective crystalline film that is less sticky than collagen, glycerin or keratin. Upon penetrating the skin, Silk Peptide helps to retain moisture while providing an attractive sheen.

Olive Oil

Caster Oil

Caster oil is a natural skin moisturizer that keeps the skin hydrated, aids with anti-inflammatory properties and can also help to reduce acne. Castor oil also has antimicrobial properties that may help fight bacterial overgrowth when applied to the skin.
